Review: Wicked by Jennifer L Armentrout

Wicked is the newest novel from Jennifer L. Armentrout, and is just as flawless as her other books.

Twenty-two year old Ivy Morgan is a part of a secret organisation responsible for protecting humans from the Fae. Six feet and three inches of charming temptation, Ren Owens is the last person Ivy expected to enter her rigidly controlled life. But Ivy faces off with a Fae who isn’t affected by iron, she realises that there’s still a lot she doesn’t know about the world, and soon discovers that Ren holds all the answers.

A perfectly ingenious novel, Armentrout has created a captivating world full of fascinating characters and explosive chemistry. Wicked is the first novel in ‘A Wicked Saga’ and is sensational addition to the New Adult and Urban Fantasy genres.

The characters were fascinatingly real, down to earth, and loveable. Tink, Ivy’s roommate and charmingly odd Brownie, earned a special place in my heart with his antics, while Ivy and Ren’s chemistry, and like all of Armentrout’s couples, was fiery and butterfly inducing.

While some aspects of the plot were slightly obvious, (the identity of the Halfling) Armentrout compensated this with other plot twists, which kept you hanging on every word.

This is definitely a must read for New Adult readers.
