This was a well written piece of work, however I didn't feel much of anything while reading it and found it to be rather anti-climatic. This was quite irritating because they way Bale has written it; having Georgia constantly thinking about how destructive she was and not telling Ben led me to believe that it would all come crashing down, which was not the case.
One thing that irritated me was the fact that it seemed Georgia's mental illness- bipolar- was just there as a prop for the author to use to create difficulties for the characters, and their relationship. This is shown by having little to no parts of the novel addresses Georgia's therapy or improvement. Yes its mentioned she's seeing a therapist and is on medication but that is all we get given. Georgia's bipolar is the main reason she breaks it off with Ben, who tells her he will wait while she gets herself sorted out, and then the next chapter (there was also no specification of how much time has passed between the two chapters so we have no idea if its been days or months) they're getting back together and she's suddenly well enough to continue with her life.
I think anyone looking for something simple/easy to read, where they don't have to think much or they're looking for a little bit of escapism would enjoy this.
