Review: Hawksong by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes

An innovative and outstanding novel, Hawksong by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes is most definitely one of my favourite novels.

Danica Shardae is an Avian Shapeshifter who will do anything in her power to stop the war that has raged between her people and the Serpiente. Zane Cobriana is the leader of the Serpiente, snake shapeshifters, and has had enough of watching his loved ones die in a war that has been going on for so long that no one can even remember what started it.

Together Danica and Zane pretend to be in love so as to bring an end to the war and peace to their lives. But will their plan work, or will the animosity between the two races be too strong to overcome?

Hawksong is such an astoundingly original novel, and my favourite in The Kiesha’ra series. I absolutely love the world that Rhodes has created and the charismatic and passionate characters that fill the pages of this novel make it a pleasure to read over and over again.

This is a perfect novel for Young Adults, and with Rhodes phenomenal imagination and flawless writing style you quickly find yourself immersed in the world of Hawksongand begging for more.
