Review: Eyes Turned Skyward

‘If its’ between being numb the rest of my life or burning exquisitely for even a moment, I’ll take the burn. The best things in life are worth the burn, the risk.’

Eyes Turned Skyward is a spellbindingly wonderful novel by author Rebecca Yarros.

Twenty-year-old Paisley Donovan is treated like delicate glass by her parents ever since she was diagnosed with the same heart condition that killed her sister. Yet nothing will stop her from completing her Bucket List – even if it kills her.

Wickedly hot and equally reckless, Jagger Bateman is enrolled in the country’s toughest flight school when he saves Paisley from drowning. There first meeting sparks a connection that cannot be easily forgotten, leading them both on a journey which will make them decide how much they’re willing to risk for a happily ever after.

Since the moment Jagger opened the door in Full Measures I’ve been dying to find out his story, and I’m glad to say I have not been disappointed.

Yarros is such an amazing writer, and capable of making readers feel absolutely everything the characters do, forging a connection which ensures that you cannot put the book down until the final word.

Eyes Turned Skyward was such a delicious and in-depth novel, and with every page it became abundantly clear how much time, research, and effort went into creating such an enthralling story.
